Shari Renaud, Physiotherapist

Shari is a registered physiotherapist and the founder of KidsPT, with a lifelong passion for working with children and supporting their development from the very beginning.  Her journey began at age 16, teaching swimming lessons and coaching young children. Through these experiences, she developed a deep appreciation for helping children build skills, confidence, and reach their full potential—ultimately guiding her toward a career in paediatric physiotherapy.

Shari completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology (1999) and Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy (2001) at McMaster University.

She has been in private practice for the past 15 years, treating children aged 0–18 with a wide variety of conditions. This extensive experience has reinforced the importance of early intervention and inspired her to specialize exclusively in infants 0–12 months.

She spent the first decade of her career at The Hospital for Sick Children, working across multiple paediatric specialties including general medicine, oncology, NICU, neurosurgery and trauma, and respirology. This experience provides a strong foundation for treating both medically complex and typically developing infants.

Shari continues to advance her expertise through ongoing post-graduate training focused on infant development, feeding, and whole-body function..
